Job Seeker and Financial Resources Now Available Online



Job seekers and those affected by the current economic crisis now have new video resources available from “Life Navigation.” On May 30th Cypress Church sponsored a seminar on the topic “Life Navigation In Turbulent Times.” All of the presentations on jobs, finances and the economy were recorded and are accessible online with a “click of the mouse.”

Those seeking employment will benefit from the sessions on resume preparation, networking and interview tips. These seminars are presented by Human Resources professionals John Risler and Dan Fleming.

Dr. Gary Painter of USC gives insight into the present economic situation and some ideas about when recovery might begin. His address is entitled: “What In The World Is Going On?” Ward Nickless of the “Glass House” financial ministry has advice about how to manage personal finances and create a budget. His presentation is an introduction to the “Making CENTS” money management workshops offered on Thursday evenings at Cypress Church.

Dr. Tom Buckles from Biola provides perspective on what God may be doing to get our attention and how we should respond. His seminar looks at the topic “What In The World Is God Doing? Professional counselor Ron Jackson and Maria Nickless of Glass House offer thoughts on how to provide assistance to individuals, couples and families affected by the downturn in the economy.

Cypress Church serves all of the northern Orange County area including the cities of Buena Park, Cypress, Los Alamitos, La Palma, Seal Beach and Anaheim. Sunday worship is at 8:45 am and 10:30 am.
